It was all happening at Estethica this afternoon at London Fashion Week. Safia Minney and Jane Shepherdson were busy hosting a civilised lunch at the People Tree stand, showing off the latest designer collaborations with Thakoon, Richardo Nicoll and Bora Aksu. I love the shocking pink Thakoon dress. We need more cross overs like this if the ethical fashion movement is to move forward and go beyond a club for the commited few. Great too, for designers to get the chance to work with specialist Fairtrade craftspeople - and to perhaps use them in their own collections. This is how things will change. More cross fertilisation between the ethical people and the mainstream fashion people is sorely needed. Environmental Justice Foundation have done it too, getting Luella, Betty Jackson and Christian Lacroix on board for their latest T-shirts to promote their Pick Your Cotton Carefully campaign. I'll find some pictures of highlights of the show and put em up soon!
